Professor Jonathan Morris

Professor Jonathan Morris is an obstetrician and accredited Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist practicing at Royal North Shore, North Shore Private and the Mater hospitals. As a recognised expert and internationally published researcher in high-risk pregnancies, he provides comprehensive pre-conception and antenatal care with highly specialised ultrasound monitoring. His major research interests include the prediction, prevention and management of pregnancy complications and stillbirth.
A graduate of the University of Edinburgh, he completed his obstetric and Maternal Fetal Medicine subspecialty training in Sydney. He completed his PhD in Oxford and returned to Sydney in 1998 at Royal North Shore Hospital. He was the director of the Kolling Institute for Medical Research at Sydney University until 2017. In 2013 he was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for services to maternal and infant health as a clinician, educator, patient advocate and researcher.
Jonathan was a member of the Medicare Benefit Schedule taskforce committee for obstetric services and is a current member of the Advisory group of the National Strategic Approach to maternity services. He is also the immediate past president of the Perinatal Society of Australia and New Zealand.
Professor Morris has been a partner at North Shore Women's Imaging since its inception in 1998.
